About our Inn La Laiterie
Want a cosy and active weekend away in beautiful surroundings? Hostel La Laiterie is the perfect accommodation in the Ardennes for groups of friends, families, couples and solo adventurers. Just a few hours’ drive from the Dutch border, you are suddenly in a totally different, forest and hilly landscape.
Facilities
The auberge gets its name from its former function: the local dairy, or laiterie. La Laiterie is a larger inn, similar to a mountain hut. You sleep with several people from your own group in a room. There are clean toilets and showers for shared use.
You can prepare your own meals in the well-equipped kitchen. It is also possible to book catered meals. There is a cosy bar where you can exchange strong stories over a Belgian beer, play a game or make plans for the next day. The bar is well stocked with soft drinks, wine and various Belgian beers.
In the garden you will find barbecues, picnic tables, fire bowls and a campfire pit for socialising.
We offer wonderful outdoor activities for young and old: beautiful kayaking trips on the Ourthe river, mountain biking on a fun signposted circuit in the woods, a challenging climbing forest with a rope and zip line course, and much more.
Larger groups wishing to cook for themselves can hire our spacious catering kitchen.

Staying overnight:
€30,- pp/night (minimum 2 nights)
€35,-pp for 1 night
Includes use of the shared kitchen.
Breakfast buffet and packed lunch:
€18,- euro pp (From 10 persons)
When you are out and about during the day, it is nice to have a packed lunch with fruit and a bottle of water handy. You can grab a bite whenever you are hungry and are not dependent on a location where you have to go to eat first.
Duvet rental with cover:
€12 per person
A made bed with pillow will be waiting for you. Bring your own: sleeping bag/quilt and possibly an extra pillow. Or rent a duvet with cover!

Big groups
Larger groups can rent the spacious catering kitchen to prepare their own meals. This is possible:

- From November till March also in weekends (on demand)
Throughout the year, it is possible to rent the whole building including the large kitchen (minimum 45 paying persons per night).

Surroundings inn La Laiterie
In the middle of the Ardennes, a 15-minute drive from La Roche and a 40-minute drive from the picturesque village of Durbuy, lies our inn. The beautiful wooded surroundings lend themselves perfectly to our outdoor activities, but there is much more to do in the region. Cultural trips are also among the possibilities. Various excursions are possible in La Roche and its immediate surroundings. There are plenty of possibilities for both the sporty and the less sporty visitor.
La Roche en Ardenne
The small town of La Roche en Ardenne is located in the heart of the Belgian Ardennes in the province of Luxembourg. The city rightly has great appeal to tourists, as there is plenty to see and do. Soaking up culture, relaxing hikes or enjoying a delicious dinner: La Roche en Ardenne has it all.
What can you do in this town?

- The labyrinth at Durbuy is a bit further away, but well worth a visit. The picturesque village of Durbuy is well worth the 40-minute drive
- During the warm summer months, enjoy the landscaped beach on the river Ourthe in Maboge
- Take the whole family to Chlorophylle playground
- Discover the Hotton caves
